Thank you for visiting Empowered ABA.
I founded Empowered after almost a decade working in the school system in multiple capacities. I started my career as a teacher, eventually promoting into district-wide BCBA and special education administrator after graduate school.
I left what I thought was a dream career after experiencing discrimination at every juncture for speaking *on behalf* of families. Upon leaving, I taught at a PNW university before resigning when, again, I was met with discrimination for bringing "different" ideas forward.
I took the ideas that were shunned in school settings and perfected them into a connection between family interest, behavior analytic methodology and real world skill acquisition that can truly be applied to everyone.
At Empowered, our only mission is to ignite the flame of self-belief within every person we program for.
We are proud trailblazers in our community, utilizing an emotion-focused approach in our individually-designed treatment plans.
We are on a mission to take the science of behavior, meet it with emotional regulation and empower our clients to empower themselves.
Thank you for being here.
With love,
Jes

Absolutely! ABA methodology works on everyone and every behavior. In fact, many parents naturally use ABA when child-rearing and it's the science dog training is based on! ABA therapy is helpful for anyone looking to shape, increase or decrease a set of behaviors.
